little fish

Yesterday we woke up to a stinking hot day outside, and after spending the morning inside with no air conditioning here at our condo, we needed some fresh air in the shade.  Emily’s Grandma gave her an inflatable pool a few weeks ago, so we set it up in the backyard and had some fun with her bath toys in the cool water! 

We don’t have a access to a hose outside, and our patio door is currently blocked by the couch, so I had to carry pitchers of water around from the front of the house to fill the pool.  Needless to say, I didn’t fill to pool very much!

At one point she was on her hands and knees then got her feet underneath her and tried to stand up.  Funniest thing ever.  I don’t think she’s very close to standing without pulling herself up yet, but she sure did try!  The video is too long to post on here, otherwise I would share it!

We were lucky to have Craig come home early yesterday, so he joined us outside for a little while.  The weather while we were out there peaked at 33C, almost 40C with the humidity (about 87.5F and 101F respectively).  That’s hot around here for May!

I hope everyone was able to stay cool during yesterday’s heat wave, and enjoyed the sunshine after WEEKS of rain.
