71: mango oatmeal


I haven’t craved a lot of weird things while pregnant, however for a few weeks now I’ve really been craving oatmeal. I had some mangoes that needed to be used up so I threw them in too, but this is really just a basic stovetop oatmeal recipe.


Easy Stovetop Oatmeal

3 cups Milk

3 tbsp Brown sugar

1/2 tsp Cinnamon

1/4 tsp Nutmeg

pinch of Salt

2 cups Oats

Combine ingredients in a sauce pan and bring to a boil, stirring often to prevent milk from burning.

Add oats when milk mixture is boiling, and let cook for 5 minutes (1 for quick/instant oats), stirring often.

When liquid has been absorbed, add desired fruit, nuts or seeds. I added the mango to mine, as well as a little bit of coconut cream.
