We knew, the day we walked down the aisle, that one day we would be making room in our little family for more, but did we know it would feel like this?
The first moments that we held her, and we felt that joy (and fear!) that descends over a new parent’s heart as they stare in wonder at the little person they are now responsible for, did you know how much your heart would grow?
I could not have imagined how much I would love our little girl, and how much joy it would bring me to see the two of you together. The way she smiles for you, and the little ‘heel clicks’ that she does whenever you walk in the door melt my heart.
She is the single greatest gift you have ever given me, and I hope you feel the same way. I’m so glad I’ve gotten to share this journey into parenthood with you, and I am excited to see what the future holds for all of us.
For such a small girl, she sure has you wrapped around her little finger!
Thank you for being such a wonderful father and husband this past year and being a true partner to me as we adjust to the role of parents.
