Duality

Most days, I am ok with Craig being away.  I am confident that I (and we) have what it takes to 'survive' this deployment and time of separation, and to use the time to develop a deeper understand of myself, our marriage, and most importantly, my reliance on God.

Some days though, when I'm tucking myself into bed or sitting down to dinner, it becomes glaringly obvious that he is not around.  I am an independent person, but I've come to appreciate the company when I'm going through the daily routines of life.

Deployment is a tough thing.

But I'm tougher.  I think.

Hi! I'm Jenn and I found your blog through Happy Housewife. My DH is not miliary but I saw you were Canadian and wanted to pop in and check out your blog. Looks great. I live in Southern Ontario too...Brantford to be exact.

I can imagine it being tough to have your DH elsewhere when you are used to having him around.

I started blogging back in Feb. It is a great tool for online friendships, encouragement, to keep in contact with loved ones etc. Good luck with everything!
