It's been bouncing around on the net for years, but this is a great option when you're looking for something quick and sweet or you have limited ingredients on hand.
Dangerous Chocolate Cake
4 tablespoons flour
4 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons cocoa
1 egg
3 tablespoons milk
3 tablespoons oil
A small splash of vanilla extract
1 large coffee mug
2 tablespoons cocoa
1 egg
3 tablespoons milk
3 tablespoons oil
A small splash of vanilla extract
1 large coffee mug
Mix all of your dry ingredients in the mug.
Crack the egg in and mix it up, and then add in the milk, oil, and vanilla.
If you want you can put a tablespoon or two of chocolate chips on top before cooking, now's the time.
Throw it in the microwave on high for 3 minutes (in a 1000 watt microwave), and then enjoy!
Don't be alarmed if it rises above the rim of the mug, it won't spill over.
It's probably enough for 2 people with some ice cream, but I usually just take half with me to work the next day.
If you'd like to give it as a stocking stuff, put the dry ingredients in a Ziploc bag and tuck inside a festive mug. Wrap the whole thing with cellophane and ribbon and put a tag on it detailing the wet ingredients and the instructions. It's a great idea for a college student or even a teacher!

Oh my goodness. This looks dangerous. If it tastes yummy I might just be as big as a house by Christmas! By the way, you should totally enter this post at Just a Girl for her homemade gift party. This would be such a cute gift to give.
For something even simpler and healthier, try "No Pudge" brownie mix = 2 TBS of the mix with 1 TB of non-fat vanilla or plain yogurt, microwaved for one minute. It's my favorite evening snack.
I've tried this before and it is so good!
Hey, my sister her family live near the Niagara Escarpment (Beamsville)!

Yum a roo! This makes me want to get a microwave!
I love preparing this one with the dry ingredients in a little baggy and a mug to give as a gift! Just print a little tag for people to know what wet ingredients to add, and voila! A simple gift. :)
It has never occurred to me to do something like this...it's genius!
My husband is going out of town for four days (and three nights) starting tomorrow.
I can't wait to try this out while he's gone and I have a little bit of coffee ice cream to top it with!
YAY!
Oh no, I tried that one time and it was awful! (But then I can't cook to save my life so maybe it was me?)
